About the role
Operations Managers oversee operational activities at every level of the organization. The Ops Manager is responsible for managing all teams that fall under Operations: departmental production, accounting, distribution, and inventory. We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to administer effective policies and procedures for operating at peak efficiency. You’ll need ambition, initiative, and the ability to take responsibility for all facets of the operations department(s), responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials, processing, and packaging of finished goods to Brand standards. A problem-solving mentality is essential in organizing and monitoring workflow to ensure maximum performance and quality within all operations teams. The specific duties of an Operations Manager include formulating strategy, setting goals according to data, improving personal and staff performance with a coaching/mentor mindset, procuring material/resources, and securing compliance according to state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee production by creating and reviewing production team schedules; clarify expectations; calculate requirements; monitor inventories of materials and supplies
- Utilizing Business Central, PowerBI, and OH. Metrc
- Set ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel
- Work with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements to achieve company objectives
- Organize and coordinate workflow for the Production Team to produce finished goods while maintaining safety, quality, and standards that meet specifications and deadlines.
- Monitor production to predict and identify effects on supply chain activities.
- Use information systems to control stock levels, inventory accuracy, and orders.
- Define and track KPIs for direct reports
- Evaluate and conduct performance reviews; provide coaching and guidance to production team members;
- QA/QC duties that include data review of analytical testing for quality and consistency.
- Inspect physical conditions of equipment, order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements; clean and maintain equipment and facility following standard operating procedures to comply with legal regulations.
- Create and Update (quarterly) SOPs, training records, and related documentation as needed.
- Understand and oversee the distribution schedule and coordinate with the Distribution Lead/ team to understand what staffing needs are being met / need addressed, while also ensuring that the routes make sense logistically for the company.
- Oversee the inventory team to ensure that materials/products are received accurately in Business Central and in a timely manner.
- Aid inventory in end-of-month reporting to ensure the accuracy of reports and use data to maintain inventory levels necessary for production.
- Work alongside Sales to ensure that everything necessary for them to meet goals and increase sales is always available.
- Learning to pivot and work with the Sales team on production frequency and planning. The market is everchanging, understand you will have to make quick decisions and be confident in your decision making.
- Work with other market managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements.
- Estimate and manage COGS
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Monitor production to resolve issues in the moment. Create simple solutions and update SOPs to reflect current operations.
- Plan and prepare order lists for all raw consumables to be approved by the National Production Manager.
- Submit requests for maintenance work, purchasing of equipment, etc.
- Submit all new orders for lab testing (Confident Cannabis, LIMS, etc.)
- Ensure output meets quality standards.
- Enforce health and safety precautions daily to ensure Timeless is always operating in accordance with local state laws and regulations.
- Provide upper leadership with a daily production tracker update with full explanations of goals.
- Hold weekly meetings with facility leadership to create daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
- Be able to give and receive feedback openly.

- Siphon, through qualified candidates, holds interviews via phone, zoom, and in person.
- Hire and Train qualified candidates.
- Always ensure all employees physically have their FA badge/cards on them as it is a part of their uniform.
- You have the ability to socialize and lead organizational change and demonstrate an ability to drive individual and team accountability.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.

- Oversee all time adjustments, time off requests, time edits, etc, to ensure accurate timekeeping and labor allocations
- Ensures that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance and successfully conforms to all state regulations, organizational standards, policies and procedures, safety and security protocols
- Maintains the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation inside the Production facility. Participates in the clean-up of equipment and the workplace at the end of every day during the walk final walk-through
- Keep a Fun, Edgy, and Caring Culture
- Presents KPI targets and results during weekly management meetings with the Production Manager, Production Supervisor, and Captains; collaborates cross-functionally to find unique areas of continuous improvement.
- Read and understand the medical market rules of Ohio. Even though it is an adult-use market, the new rules are not published. Understanding how you can and cannot operate will be crucial to staying within compliance and succeeding in this role.

Experience
- 3 - 5 Years of experience in a similar operations role(required)
- 2+ years of direct experience with team management, performance evaluations, and KPIs
Educational Background / Certificates
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (preferred)
- Six Sigma certification(s) (preferred)

- Cannabis Manufacturing (preferred)

- $52,000 annual salary (Depends on Experience)
